Friendly, smiling staff, nice beer, good food, pleasant atmosphere. What's not to like?
The food was nice however the tables were tiny and being so close to the bar made you feel like people were waiting for their table on top of you.
It was a birthday meal so there was quite a few and restaurant was full. Our meal was over seasoned and in edible we had steak and ale pie . My dad's lasagna was so hard he couldn't eat that either .. very disappointed.
Food was quite nice... service for the food was very slow. Had three course meal and very long periods of waiting between courses. Service at the bar was pleasant but again very slow... They wernt even busy. I would go back again though.
Lovely atmosphere. Went in today for the first time with a girlfriend for a drink during a cycle ride. We had been past often on a Monday when it is closed so took a chance today and loved it. Great beer, cosy and friendly staff. Will definitely make it a lunch stop next time. Highly recommended.
