Had the Trussell suite for granddaughter's 18th birthday on grill night. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the hospitality of the staff.A great night was had by all.
A stunningly beautiful hotel, restaurant and bar that absolutely makes the grade in terms of quality, style, comfort, hospitality, and location. With a lovely warm and welcoming ambience, delightful and helpful staff, and owners who care passionately about their guests and high quality standards (including Mary's gorgeous fresh flowers which she arranges herself throughout the hotel every day). Every single aspect has been carefully thought through from the luxurious seating and tableware in the rooms, restaurant and bar, to the beds, bed linen, complimentary toiletries, towels, lighting, heating and facilities in the rooms and bathrooms. The food is divine whether served in the restaurant, bar or as room service which is quick, hot and tasty. I have returned for another week's stay and look forward to attending one of the Moat House events (Gin and Jazz, Psychic Supper) in the future. Perfect for weddings, business events, and a real treat for any occasion. Thank you everyone for making my stay so enjoyable. And special thanks to Emily and Stacey at the hotel reception for being so friendly and looking after me, it makes all the difference.
We went there for a family members wedding. We stayed in a family room which was spacious and the beds were really comfy. The food was beautiful as was the venue itself, staff were attentive and really helpful.
Good food. Had a vegan option. Portion sizes were very small though. As a four star I would expect the mains to be twice the size. Staff were prompt, surroundings clean and the moat looks really nice at night.
